Advocate the full English text stenographic record of the Public Meetings of Boston City Council be made more readily accessible for folks hard of hearing, ESL English as a Second Language, dyslexia, cognitive difficulty, elderly, deaf, for all who’d prefer learning more about the entirety of the Public Meeting not understandable in a video medium. Budgeted for with public funds the stenographic record is more complete than the heavily edited too brief Minutes of the Public Meetings.

More interactive mechanisms at http://cityofboston.gov/citycouncil could include online discussions for folks not at a Committee Public Hearing held at an inconvenient location or inconvenient time.

Opening the full English text stenographic record would give Councilors greater opportunities for letting people know their remarks at the Public Meeting. Then in turn give people greater opportunities to submit feedback, comment, suggestions, questions about a favorite Councilor’s remarks.
